Terrain (地形, Chikei) affects movement of units and gives the unit a damage received reduction bonus depending on what terrain that unit is in.[1][2]

Wheeled vehicles with the exception of the Scout unit cannot pass over forests. Other ground units can pass over forests, but with a movement penalty.

Biomes[]
In Tiny Metal: Full Metal Rumble, in addition to the Terrain used in Tiny Metal, two new sets of Terrain were introduced in order to add some more variety to the maps. The terrain groups are referred to as biomes.[3] Aside from the standard grassy biome seen in the first game, there is a snow biome with arctic and tundra-type terrain and a sand biome with desert and wasteland-type terrain.[3][4]
