Riflemen (ライフルマン, Raifuruman) are the basic infantry units featured in Tiny Metal[1] and Tiny Metal: Full Metal Rumble.

The cheapest unit to produce. They are, however, also one of the weakest, with low attack and defense values. They are best used for taking and holding strategic locations.[1]

He is a Very basic unit to capturing Bases.
Spamming him can be used to blocking enemy units by. But it's very cruel and actually affects to Heart and Power score in Tiny Metal: Full metal Rumble.
He can be basically instantly destroyed by most of units. But Metal can't destroy Riflemen with One shot. So, blocking Metal with Riflemen, and sniping them with Striker or taking First-strike with your Lancer or Metal is a valid tactics. But it's very inhumanity.
